Boarding

  • Indoor/Outdoor runs

    Closed in safely at night and during weather extremes. Free to run in and out all day in good weather.

  • Exercise options

    Playyard, hiking, cuddle time. Lots of ways to engage and exercise your dog during their stay. You decide the frequency. Minimal extra charges per option.

  • Rural setting

    16 acres of genly rolling farmland. Yards, trails, stream and event fields.

  • Clean, safe environment

    Thorough daily cleaning, more often as necessary. Fencing is secure and dog friendly. All buildings are heated and air-conditioned.

  • Owners live on site

    Even during non-business hours, when staff aren't present, there are caretakers nearby. Around-the-clock care is perfect for housebreaking, since scheduling exercise times is so important.

  • Open 7 days a week

    For your convenience, our hours are 9-1 and 4-6 every day except Sunday, which is 4-6 only. Check-out time: 1 pm. Closed holidays.

  • Emergency care

    If your dog needs veterinary care during a stay, we are ready to go. We call you on the way, and if it's feasible to go to your regular vet, we do so. After hours, it's only about 10 minutes to the UT Vet School.

  • Vaccination requirements

    We support you and your vet and we follow general recommendations for preventing disease. Our current requirements include rabies, distemper/parvo+ combination, and bordetella. For puppies, please let us know how many vaccinations have already been done.

  • Medications

    We are happy to administer medications. Elaborate procedures may include a small additional charge.

  • Food options

    We recommend that you bring your dog's regular food in sufficient quantity. This helps minimize upset stomachs. If you prefer, we're glad to feed one of our own high quality dry dog foods.

  • Bedding / Toys

    Feel free to bring something that smells like home, but no expensive beds or one-of-a-kind toys that your dog can't live without. We do our best to return everything in good condition, but we hate to be responsible for irreplaceble items.

  • Grooming / Bathing

    If you'd like to have your dog spruced up before returning home, just let us know. Discounts apply for picking up after check-out time (1 pm).

  • Multi-dog discounts

    If you want your dogs to share a run, and if they can live and eat together peacefully, you get a discount. Check out our rate sheet above.

Training

• What would you like to accomplish?

  Better behavior around your family and friends? International agility championship? Something in between? We can help you get there! And it's probably easier than you think. We've worked with thousands of dogs of all types, ages and temperaments. Our methods are based on simple dialog, and we'll help you speak the language that dogs naturally understand. It's not rocket science. It may be a little counter-intuitive at first, but if you're patient, you'll find it to be fun for both you and your canine teammate, and it's very effective!

  • AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy class

    Get you puppies started on the right paw! The S.T.A.R. puppy program is a great way to set the stage for a happy and polite dog.

  • Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

    The next step on the way to responsible dog ownership and a perfect way to prepare for further obedience or therapy training.

  • Obedience

    The standard curriculum (Come, Sit, Down, Stay, Heel, Leave it) and more. All problem behaviors addressed. From housebreaking to competitive excellence. We're recognized for our high caliber training.

  • Rally Obedience

    Probably the best way to break into companion dog sports. Challenging, but attainable skills for almost all teams, A good first step before obedience or agility competition.

  • Agility

    The fun and popular sport with an obstacle course that's never the same. We are the home of the Agility Center of East TN (ACET) and have participated in all aspects of the sport. From foundation work to the highest levels of competition.

  • Run-Thru's

    Unstructured training sessions, informal matches and Show & Go's. Not actual trials, but simulating the trial environment. A great way to see if you and your dog are ready to compete, without all the pressure of actually entering an event.

  • Seminars

    Taught by recognized experts in their field. Learn from those who have experience and can share the joys and challenges of training dogs for various sports.

  • Trials

    Meadowbrooke has been the host for various official dog events. We have worked with some of the best competitors in the world, right here in our own backyard!

Grooming

• Grooming

  • A simple bath or a stylized cut

    Just let us know what you want for your dog. Basic options include bath only, complete bath (with nail trim, ear cleaning and brush out), or grooming per breed.

  • Professional groomers

    Experienced, careful and gentle, our groomers will get the job done, and your dog might even have fun!

  • No medicating

    We never sedate dogs for grooming. Sometimes we have to give dogs a break, not do the whole groom all at once. Your dog will let us know when it's time for a rest, and we respect that.

  • Optional services

    We can use your own favorite dog shampoo or one of our medicated products. If you'd like your dog's nails to be dremeled instead of cut, we are glad to oblige. Anal glands, de-matting, and flea/tick treatments are all no problem for us.
